My Polo Experience

Becoming a member of the Royal Holloway Polo Club has been the most joyful experience at the school so far. Unlike other new members of the club, I started the sport with zero riding experience. Thankfully, the seniors of the Polo team set high expectations of their players and stand by you to help achieve them. The more I played the sport the more I understood it’s true meaning. It is a tactical, high-pace, team sport for players with class and who are determined to put months of work to become good at. Unlike most sports, to become an effective player on the field you must be skilled in riding your horse and your shooting. Off the field, your surrounded with team mates who hold a high standard for social events …. but still keep it classy. None the less, for it is fair to conclude that Polo is a unique sport for unique people. If I could go back to the day of the Sport fair, I wouldn't have done it any other way.
