The Paul Sweeney Memorial Cup
Just a quick thank you to all of the Club members who turned out to support the Sweeney's at the Memorial Cup. It was a brilliant event organised by Georgia Sweeney with our own Captain James Mann playing for the Essex Angels!!
Four teams competed against each other in a freindly match, attracting spectators from all around and money was raised for charity. In 1st place was Sau Wild (Rosie Ross, George Marsden, Michael Poppel), in 2nd was Las Aguilas (David Banner-Eve, Michel Granci, Charley Howell(, in 3rd was the Essex Angels (Richard Newman, James Mann, Hannah Buckingham) and in 4th place was Ash Farm (Georgia Sweeney, Gemma Byme, Chris Benford).

It was a lovely day, and a great way to celebrate and remember the life of a much respected community member Paul Sweeney. Both Charlotte and Georgia have been a great help in coaching us every year, and now we look forward to competing at the SUPAvWinter Nationals this weekend in Rugby.
